This Workshop is aimed at established Street Photographers who are fairly confident with their technical approach but need guidance in progressing their Street Photography to something which is uniquely and identifiably theirs. Moving from photographer to artist, from follower to leader within the genre.

Participant and Workshop leader introductions with images for discussion.
Presentation on the current Street Photography environment, identifying trends and influencers.
Mapping the Street Photography scene and locating the work of participants within that scape.
Presentation exploring the boundaries of Street Photography focussing on the work of those currently making uniquely individual candid public photographs.
Lunch

An Afternoon of solo street shooting a brief designed to stimulate new ways of working.
Regroup for evening drinks.
Homework
Review the afternoons images and send your edit to Nick overnight.
Sunday 6th September

Review of previous afternoons photography, exploring the use of editing and continuous critique to reveal new creative ways forward.

Individual Street shooting a brief.
Lunch

Continue Individual Street Shooting.
Regroup at the ICA for editing and presenting your work to the group.
Review of images by Nick and a renowned guest Street Photographer.

You will need
Suitable camera with enough memory cards and batteries (We will be shooting a lot).
Laptop for editing images ( contact us in advance if you need one provided ).
Comfortable shoes and a waterproof. Hat and suncream if required (In light rain we will still shoot, In heavy rain we will work in a Museum).
